Smile Club Fundraisers - update as of 2016
All school fundraisers and events were postponed until end of November and December due to the King’s passing.
WELLS: Wells International School held its annual Professional Development Day in September and used the event as the first fundraiser since becoming an established Smile Club member. The amount raised was approximately 8,000 baht.
International School of Bangkok: ISB High School hosted its annual raffle and silent auction in December. The raffle is part of school’s advocacy month activities involving students. For this event, students contacted sponsors for prizes and then sold raffle tickets to students and faculty members at ISB. It's one of ISB’s biggest fundraiser of the year; all the money raised was given to Operation Smile Thailand.
Thai-Chinese International School: On November 19, TCIS sold Japanese curry and fried ice cream at the school to raise awareness about and funds for Operation Smile. A gift box with 10 gift vouchers from Coffee Beans by Dao was given to customers that bought the food or posted on social media the Operation Smile hashtag or liked the Operation Smile Thailand page.
St. Andrews International School Sukhumvit 71: St Andrews 71 hosted a three-day event entitled “Teacher Trivia”. Money was raised from viewers, mostly high school students, who paid to watch teachers from different departments of the school compete in a game show-like situation for 30 minutes each day during lunchtime. The proceeds from this Smile Club event were donated to Operation Smile.
